  This place is dirty and run-down. And for a place that presents itself as upscale and charges upscale prices.. it was just uncomfortably dumpy. I did not enjoy that dichotomy. As for the food and service: I ate the thai calamari and the boom shrimp. Both were average. The cocktails that my party ordered were decent and very nicely presented. Staff was nice, service was fine.

  What could go wrong when an establishment hires a 21 year old as a bartender?
  
  I entered Quench at 4:30 p.m. on a Saturday; and the place was empty. No customers, no waiter, no bartender. I sat down, because I was waiting for a friend. Ten minutes later, the bartender finally appears.
  
  I ordered a Beck's beer; and it tasted awful. The bartender had given me a non-alcoholic beer. I asked why she had served Beck's non-alcoholic beer; and she stated (I'm not making this up) that she did not know that Beck's brewed regular beer. So there you have it, Quench's bartender had absolutely no knowledge of the largest beer brewer in Germany.

  The staff is very friendly and attentive, they give college students discounts but not enough kids go there to make it a college bar. Great food, good atmosphere and gracious owners.
